Three gentle moments during a rather unexpectedly cool and damp day.
That one moment my back is turned and a small finger sized yellow courgette suddenly becomes a huge baseball bat of a thing! Fortunately the yellow variety stay tender and sweet even when rudely oversized and almost marrow like!
The ballcock from zinc water tank - discovered by a dog who insisted on carrying it around with a silly look on her face - precious.
And a sigh of relief as I hear the water barrels filling up.
What little things have made you smile today - go on share, let's spread the gentle joy of glimmers.
Am actually pleased it is raining out there. A refresh before the next dry spell! X

I was out early watering before the sweltering heat rose. It was a Saturday, everywhere was quiet. Two runners turned on to my street and as they came abreast of my driveway raised a hand in salute, an acknowledgement from one early bird to another. Jean in Winnipeg

DeleteWe had guti (Scotch Mist) overnight and it was lovely hearing the water barrels gently trickling full again.
Oh Willow, haha, the things dogs take a liking to! There's so many glimmers filling my day when I'm looking after my beautiful grandson and he's here today so my day is good.

We are away at the moment but are expecting courgettes the size of marrows when we get home … that’s assuming the neighbour has watered them. If not, they will be dry crispy husks 🙈

DeleteLilly chasing bugs, and last evening our outside light came on as a small hedgehog ran across our lawn, Lilly watched it but gave no chase.

DeleteA lovely telephone chat with Stepmum, going to daughter's tomorrow to see them, granddaughter and foster Baby C. We had rain of sorts on Sunday but its baking here again in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District - 27.5! Xx

I love the.concept of glimmers. It helps me to reframe difficult days.
