A photo an hour 6am - 6pm - well, as near as I can get it.
6am (actually a little after)
Curtains thrown wide revealing the day before the weather turns
7am - back in bed
Pan having eaten breakfast, slipped out in to the garden, has now returned to bed.
8-ish am
Toast - food of the gods,
especially with lemon curd or marmite and washed down with a mug of tea
9.30ish
The morning walk, post breakfast, with Willow.
It seems we are now part of the 'Women who walk' their dogs in the morning.
More talking that walking seems to occur.
Willow and I pass our greetings then walk on leaving them to natter.
10.30ish
11.45ish
1pm
tidying up the shredding from yesterday's garden hurdle making
2.45pm
3.40ish
quietly working on a year long project following the seasons
I'd torn my trousers whilst working in the garden today

Our 'getting-on-a-bit' old lady - a proper heat worshipper
Sounds like a lovely gentle relaxing post retirement day. We had sunshine in North Wales yesterday and went for something a lot more authentic than our Portmeirion visit. We did, what I would call, a proper walk … with mountains, lakes and waterfalls. We absolutely loved it and I will be sharing it soon 😀
ReplyDeleteooh that sounds interesting! I look forward to reading about that adventure :)
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly patch. I might copy that! Good to see Willow relaxing, but still with an eye half open in case she misses anything.
ReplyDeleteThank you!🦋 I can't see why mending should not be a joyous thing - yes I tore my jeans but they were 'working' and have already had a busy 'life' so adding a spot of butterfly love certainly gives them more character haha - most of my mends are very visible!
DeleteSound a perfect March day for everyone.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely - but it was a false spring day! Today there are yellowy skies, snow and it is bitterly cold, glad not to be working outside🥶
DeleteWhat a lovely way to spend the day - alongside your beloved animal companions too.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Ellie
It was a good day, the cat makes a really good supervisor - has the perfect disapproving scowl if she thinks I am making a hash of things, where as the dog is a great cheerleader - what ever I do - is BRILLIANT (little does she know haha)
DeleteA nice steadily productive day.
ReplyDeleteIt was, am hoping for a few more - but not today - too cold, windy and it is attempting to snow brrrrrrr 🥶
DeleteSuch lovely photos. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you, some times the simple days are the most enjoyable x
DeleteWhat a peaceful, productive and pet-filled day! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Vix, I'm relieved the cat has decided the dog is not worth worrying about, just need Willow to stop trying to herd the cat back to us! She just cannot fathom the freedom cats have 😄
DeleteWhat a lovely day. I felt as though I was right there with you. X
ReplyDeleteThank you 😊 it was a gently lovely day x
DeleteGoodness, did you have to peel the cats nose off the wood burner door?! X
ReplyDeleteYes, she does sit that close, but only for a moment or two - then you notice she starts to lean back, shut her eyes and suddenly move when she reaches 'optimum temperature' at that point she then lies down on the carpet at a much more respectable distance!
DeleteI loved the walk through your day with you, thank you.. isn't the primrose beautiful your photograph was so clear I imagined I could smell the scent of it!
ReplyDeletethank you 😊
