So.
Today a thing happened.
Well, firstly it was my last day at work and I left feeling loved and genuinely touched by the many wonderful people who came to say goodbye.
Then......
Meet Willow, 18 months old. My walking boots are never going to look back!
How thrilling. I so look forward to hearing more. x
ReplyDeleteThank you - hoping for lots of dog related adventures this year :)
DeleteYou are certainly not going to be resting on your laurels. She is a beauty. Looking forward to reading about your adventures. Carol x
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol - I am sure she will be me on my toes and very busyπ
DeleteA sad but also exciting time for you. Adventures await! Willow looks gorgeous - I look forward to following those walks.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
Ellie
thank you Ellie - workwise - I was ready to finish and I suspect that Willow is going to be quite a full on 'project' to start with - so plenty walks!
DeleteNo need to worry about what to do with your extra time, Willow will keep you active.
ReplyDeleteA mixed blessing - more time to paint or take the dog for another walk - it will be the latter every time haha
DeleteA Welsh sheepdog! She will be more vocal..they are bred for cattle herding more than sheep..but she is beautiful
ReplyDeleteFortunately - less vocal although very demanding. I know that is partly coz she is a sheepdog and that just goes as read, however she very needy and desperate for attention and clingy - so all things we will have to gently work through
DeleteWillow is a beauty. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I shall!
DeleteAww! Willow is gorgeous! π«Άπ» Great to have you back in this/your space. π You have been missed. Enjoy filling your creative cup now that you more time on your hands, as well as the many walking adventures with Willow. Looking forward to reading all about both! Sylvia, The Netherlands
ReplyDeleteThank you Sylvia - I think I shall be rather busy! So plenty of stories and walks to share :)
DeleteShe's absolutely gorgeous, Kate. I'm so happy for you both. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Jules xx
DeleteBest wishes for a healthy and happy retirement.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Willow!
Wishing you all many happy, active days. x
thank you π I can see plenty walks coming up, starting as soon as I have finished answering all the comments!
DeleteSo, the botanical naming theme. I imagine some bittersweet times ahead. But welcome, Willow, you have no idea how lucky you are ...
ReplyDeleteCorrect on the theme! but not the name we expected to end with - I'll write about that some time as it is rather sweet x
DeleteYou will have some lovely walks now with Willow for company
ReplyDeleteDogs definitely enliven a walk (insert alternative words as you see fitπ ... speed up/ make muddier / make much longer / make much more fun!
DeleteWonderful news. Rescue dog? Arilx
ReplyDeleteThank you and yes, she is, a story to share at some point :)
DeleteAw thats wonderful π Looking forward to your future adventures ❤️ together. Sharon Sunshine & Celandines.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon - I suspect I will not have time to do 'anything' expect walk Willow's legs off as she has so much energy to burn (it will be good for both of us π)
DeleteSo so gorgeous! xxx
ReplyDeleteAhh, she looks lovely. More doggy adventures to read about. Can’t wait as I can enjoy them all from the comfort of my chair ! X
